For $20, pretty darn delicious. I liked listening to Jenny talk about what she does with the Emmolo Nursery vines in early harvest. In order to have each bunch contain all free hanging grapes instead of intense clusters, she brushes each newly bloomed bunch with a plastic brush to gently remove about half of the newly blossomed fruit. This process is fairly painstaking and takes around 30 seconds per cluster. It takes 1-2 weeks to complete this process, but the wines created are proof in the pudding so to speak.
This Sauv Blanc is very floral, and lacking herbaceous notes because she dislikes any green bell pepper and grassy notes in her wines. What does exist are sweet pineapple notes, lemon zest, keylime juice, and wildflower petals on the nose. The liquid is starbright straw yellow, and has a light viscosity, exhibiting notes of Meyer lemon, ripe grapefruit, mineral, and a crisp finish.

It was a great start to the Live Stream, and a great wine for the summer!

Cheers!

Bright acid, some mineral. You can tell there was some lees contact with this wine

Not as crisp and acidic as a NZ sauv blanc. Decent but not remarkable.
