Exceptional. Top 5 across all Bojo and tops of a great lineup from Burgaud. — 5 years ago
A very interesting wine. A very difficult vintage that the winemaker addressed with stupid low yields. If you love wine, a great wine to drink to see how a very good winemaker handled a rough year in non elite terroir. His 1er crus were sick in 17.
Nose is purplish. Dark. Swirling. Sexy. But a bit Brutish but in a sexy way.
Palate is dark fruit. Very very dense for a wine at this level. Very. The fruit outweighs the acidity although it’s not stewy at present.
I’d drink this now. It might peak in 6-12 months. But I have no idea. My gut is the far side of the mountain is steep. But man this is an effing fun drink today. If you have a bunch of save one for a few years just to see what happens. Science baby.

Nice and fresh, another bottle proving 2016 is better than 2015 to my palate in Beaujolais. — 8 years ago

I would go 8.9. I don't QUITE agree with experts. — 10 years ago
Even better than the Côte de Py. Tart cherry and plenty of acidity. A bit floral, and a diffuse funkiness that defines itself after a few minutes of opening: mushroom, meatiness, green vegetables. Just so much going on here. — 11 years ago
Loving this Cote du Py gamay! Perfect way to start the evening in NYC — 12 years ago
Nice expression of terroir …high elevation morgon …red/dark fruit juicy gamay from single parcel JAMES — 5 years ago
Excellent got much better on day 2. — 5 years ago
Earthy, plum notes with a medium body and soft tannins. Needs a bit of air but has nice tea and spice notes to balance the acid. — 7 years ago
Rose, earth, good funk, light in the mouth despite the funky nose — 8 years ago
Very fresh and vibrant. Strawberry and a hint of blood. — 9 years ago
Beautiful aged Cote Rotie from a half bottle. Juicy dark clue fruit up front and center. On first pour had some acid and tannins which rounded out nicely after 30 min in the decanter. 1999 vintage. — 10 years ago

Biggest surprise of the tasting afternoon. — 11 years ago
Huge wine. With air this continued to develop and is one of the top cote roties one can find. Amazing nose, and coats the mouth with rich seductive fruit. Finish lasts forever. — 12 years ago
— 5 years ago
Color : Red
Wine estate : Bernard Dugat-py
Designation : Burgundy
Name : Bourgogne
Country : France
Vivino : 4/5
Note : Non-Filtered Burgundy, do not forget to return the bottle before tasting to avoid unpleasant surprises 😉
With its red robe, we are on a typical Burgundy nose with aromas of flowers, strawberries and slightly woody. A correct length.

Big wine, very modern and a bit sticky but still classy pedigree — 9 years ago
From the wine list at EMP bought by a new friend at the table next to us to go mano a mano against the 88 La Turque I shared. Slightly darker red and more pure in color. Amazing aroma that is more linear than the animalistic La La but in the same league. Hit its stride right out of the pop and pour gate. Lovely perfume with a more briary nose but speaks Cote Rotie from the get go. Perfectly integrated fruit and structure. Best Jamet I've had. Thanks to Danny for this treat. — 10 years ago
1991: Trusting the makeshift neck tag. Reticent nose, yet full delivery on palate. Book smart Cote Rotie, with everything you'd expect present. The youngster of the night, yet in welcome company. No hurry to drink, will continue to develop. — 11 years ago
A very pretty Morton, shimmering and pure. Lovely acidity, plush in the middle with unbaked strawberry-rhubarb character. Finish is long with iron and other mineral notes. Ready for action. Matched well with fresh tomato pasta thanks to the acidity. Looking forward to more wines from this talented young producer. — 11 years ago
