Dark berries, medium tannins, a little chalky. A nice Chianti to have with pizza. — a month ago
Delic! (Florence) — 2 months ago
This wine is colored dark purple, almost inky. The nose is wonderful, with an earthiness leading the way for plum, cherry and tar. The palate is loaded with dark fruit, earth and black pepper. The tannins are fairly smooth, but they work well against a Bolognese sauce. There is a nice acidity and a wonderful herbal finish. — 3 months ago
Notes of cherry and red fruit. Really nice Sangiovese. Great example of the region — a month ago

Medium Ruby red color with aromas of dark berry fruit and earthy spice, blend of 90% Sangiovese with rest Canaiolo. On the palate flavors of black cherry and plum with tobacco, floral and earthy cedar notes. Full-bodied, well balanced soft drying tannins on a smooth medium+ finish. Grab some Italian food and enjoy the great value wine. Consistent quality, a Fav!! — 3 months ago
Outstanding bottle of wine. Black cherry and spice on the nose. Paired well with food. — 3 years ago
Great, light wine. Medium bodied. — 22 days ago
Surprisingly dark on the nose with leather, turned earth, undergrowth, some roast… sun dried tomatoes. After a while a fresh orange zest & flowery note emerges to add contrast. Barely any cherry or red fruit. Dumb phase? Queer bottle? And yet - intriguing!
On the palate nicely structured and with fresh acidity. Love the quality of tannins - fine, juicy yet firm. Savoury, just a touch rustic, loads of umami flavour here.
Def. a food wine, and a very nice one, too!
Having this with some pasta, but this begs for a Bisteca Fiorentina! — 2 months ago
Very dry but awesome with the right pairing. Wouldn’t drink it alone without dinner. — 3 months ago
Drinking in 2024, the 2017 is still young but it's a solid chianti and will age well for another decade or two. Black cherry on the nose with fleshly plum. A tad of blood orange too. A good infusion of sandalwood, subtle spice, and some minerality behind it all. High acidity. Medium to medium+ tannin, but it's integrated pretty well. This has nice length on it. Overall, very nice! — 3 months ago

Apr 2024: Half an hour intensive decanting to open it up, very smooth and elegant, on the light side, cherries! Nice chianti — 2 years ago
