3rd bottle from a rare auction purchase. Deeply earthy, loads of red and blue fruit. Lavender, white pepper. Delicious. — a month ago
Spicy, light, fresh yet with quite some character. Fresh red fruit (strawberries & cherries) with a spice undercore.
On the palate this is light yet with presence and a nice tannic frame. I wasn’t expecting this fragility, but it’s really nice. And despite the lightness this has presence and character.
A lovely wine! — 13 days ago
From a magnum, shortly before my son’s wedding. Wonderful, but I felt that it would be even better in 5-6 years. — 22 days ago
CV pre dinner tasting. Color lighter than Gavi but nose shows oxidative notes melon ripe fruits. Softer texture roundness on palate. Long grippy finish that’s unexpected. Two more bottles to try. CV second bottle, less oxidative and fresher nose and palate. Upping to 9 — a month ago
Reddish in color with a wide reddish rim.
Fruity nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing raspberries, fresh cherries, light oak, spices, chocolates, coffee and black pepper.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a delicious Grenache from Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel.
Still young, but already drinking beautifully. Easy drinking right out of the bottle, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years.

I've had a few vintages of this wine, and this vintage is absolutely fantastic. The high alcohol is well integrated already.
Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food.
A blend of 85% Grenache, 5% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre and 5% local varieties.

A bit muted on the nose for the first few hours, this eventually opened up with some raspberry fruit to go along with its mineral backbone. Not quite worth what I paid for it but not terrible either.. — a month ago

Brouilly, to me, is the fruitiest of the crus, and this is fruit in spades. So tangy and fruity. A bit of barnyard funk on the nose adds complexity. Very zingy and fruity in the mouth. Downright tangy!
UPDATE: After a couple hours of air, this is getting funkier and funkier. Clearly a low- or no-sulfite wine. I Vacuvin-ed a bit to see whether it will even be drinkable on night 2. My guess is it won’t be. (Further update: it was still good but it became clear to me that the funkiness was I was getting on night one was actually brett, which was somehow easier for me to identify the next night.) — 4 days ago
