Wow! The nose takes me to an old library with leather chairs. Approachable on opening with mouthwatering acidity balanced with moderate tannins showing up at the front and back of the palate. Revisiting this once bringing a few bottles home from the winery. Pale straw coloration. On the nose, ripe peach, some pear and apple. On the palate, strong notes of peach and a very long finish minerality. Medium to fuller bodied with nice acidity. I thought Cantine Neri’s Orvieto Classico was fantastic but this white wine outdoes it in my opinion with its just a wonderful balance of acidity, robust body, minerality and fruit. — 2 years ago

Enjoyed this somewhat exotic wine. Recommended by a sommelier at a wine shop. Apparently the grape was assumed extinct for 400 years until it was discovered growing on someone’s property in the 1980s. Taste is akin to a Nebbiolo. Blueberry and blackberry on the nose. Bright berries with balanced acidity and dryness. Would love to have again. — 5 years ago
