Very drinkable, enjoyed. Total wine $24 — 2 months ago
Wow medium yellow and complex nutty earthy ripe orange spicy notes carrying through to bracing acidity and firm texture then long finish. No sign of oxidation from previous notes and giving it higher ratings. — 11 days ago

This is drinking so well. Nose of cassis, redcurrant, classic Margaux flowers, green peppercorn (Carmenere), crazy florals, just a masterful nose. Leather and glorious spice. Palate is wide and sleek, elegant and decadent than sharply concentrated and sweet. The tannins are sweet and aggressive but the fruit is extraordinary and in a few hours I see this being even more supple. Fantastic. — a month ago
Tasted at Total Wine & bought a bottle. A little fruity. Not too bold. Good with steak. — a month ago

This wine is medium-dark ruby in the glass. I found the nose to be subdued, but notes of ripe cherries and redcurrant berries came through. I’d like to say that I noticed the effect of the chestnut barrels used, but they were half as large as the oak casks. My olfactory sense isn’t all that sharp, anyway. The palate is medium weight and a bit tart, showing raspberry and currant flavors. The tannins are medium firm and the acidity is bright. The medium finish carries tart fruit after the sip. — 19 days ago
