Not very terroir-specific but with loads of generic Medoc character: young looking; blackcurrents, tobacco, and a touch if leather; nicely integrated - still enough tannins to keep it going for a while. Good food wine!

A lot of bottle variation with these - the best have been excellent. This one was very good but slightly muted. Youthful looking - quite dense with very light bricking only; classic claret nose of blackberries, vanilla, pencil shavings, and a hint of old socks; balanced with tannins till present but unobtrusive.

What a beauty. I bought this a few years ago at a bargain basement price and put it in the back of the cellar and forgot about it. I wish I had another one. This wine is gorgeous. A classic mature Bordeaux at its peak. This wine can easily stretch it out for another decade. Notes of cedar and tobacco
