Yummy Amarone with colleagues in Singapore (Shangri La Italian restaurant). Yep, would quite happily have another bottle. 2020 — 5 months ago
Incredible bouquet but took a long time to open up and for the mineral and acid to mellow. Smooth and gentle when it finally did. Would only go for cellared bottles. — 6 months ago

What I always hope Sangiovese will taste like. — 13 years ago
Another straggler that aged better than expected. Medium bodied with red fruity notes still present balanced by earthy acidic palate — 5 months ago
dfp, loved! a little oily, a little mineraly, tiny bit of stank at the finish — 8 months ago
A nice lighter cherry that is dry but with appropriate fruit. Great with pasta and red sauce. October 2025. — 8 months ago
Really nice wine to enjoy with friends on a birthday. Went well with the homemade chocolate Grenache cake which was fantastic. Plenty of tannins which Improve with aeration. — a year ago

Aromatic and light. Fruity finish — 12 years ago
The oak has integrated from my previous note in February 2017 where the influence of oak Barriques was overly present. Sangiovese is not enhanced by too much oak in my opinion and is best matured in large Botti like I said in my previous note like Biondi Santi. Red cherry and earth notes finishing with powdery tannins. Coming together. — 5 months ago

This wine has a medium tinted ruby color. The nose is a savory blast. The fruit is dark and muted by the aroma of pipe tobacco, earth, and black olives. The wine’s flavor profile has shades of black cherry and plum, again colored by the savory aspect of the palate. I expect to find some trace of wood, but there is none. The wine was fermented in cement, and half of it was aged that way, so the sip is very clean. The tannins are velvety and the acidity is lively. — 10 months ago

Most interesting rose. More like a red wine — 9 years ago
Theres something cool about folks trying to make dolcetto either something it isn't or, perhaps, making the best interpretation of dolcetto possible. The Abonna family does this year after year, weather permitting. — 11 years ago
