Gorgeous, cloudy garnet color, with ripe, brambly raspberry, garrigue, with a strong mineral core. Refreshing 100% Cinsault at only 11% ABV. — 4 years ago

Aurelien Palthey makes huge strides every year with this cuvée. Less oak, more riveting acidity. Lush and tropical, but it’s from the 50+ year-old vines, not overripeness and cheap cellar tricks. One of the best 2017 white Burgundies I’ve tasted. — 5 years ago
The sommelier described this selection as fruit forward, but I respectfully disagree. I experienced more minerals than anything else, which seems consistent with the fact that this delicate tasting wine is grown directly in the limestone bedrock, with very little soil. Hints of pepper rounded out the flavors. Excellent! Paired well with langoustines and lamb. — 6 years ago

Excellence of Champagne! To my friend Aurelien Gerbais — 9 years ago
What. A. Nose. Clay, dry clay and wet clay, olive, game, red berry fruit, granite and very stoney. Smells so old school and very stoney. Elegant and so pure. Beautiful. Very pure. Gorgeous black cherry as well and blackberry. Really compelling. Palate is super juicy and clean. Gorgeous mouthfeel and super stoney complexity. Balanced, clean and so pure. Inner mouth aromas are violets. Awesome. The stonier side of St. Joseph. Long chewy and very velvety tannins. Really great. Sappy tiny berry fruit intensity as well on the finish but the stones wash it all away. — 4 years ago
I have had this wine many times it’s solera from 2005-2014, so more vintages makes a better wine, degorged in jan 2017. The mix of those magnifiscent 7 grapes is fantastic, not an easy job, but Aurelien Laherte is a master.
I have always like this wine, fantastic thrilling nose and taste🥂 — 6 years ago

Gorgeous precise nose. Clay, graphite, mineral as all can be. Some gamey, wild feral note as well but also profound blackberry and red berry fruit. Gorgeous nose. Complex and concentrated with loads of minerals and full dry yet ripe tannins. Finishes with loads of granite and graphite and juicy fruit hints. Needs 45 minutes but it is all there. — 4 years ago
