Revisiting the Tapiz cab. Balanced and smooth. James Suckling’s 94 points seem out of bounce though. With good amount of air, this wine drinks very well though. — 4 months ago
Well the wife got brave and opened a bottle I didn’t want used in a sauce the other day. Probably had her dad over since I was on a bis trip. Glad I got to try. Nice wine. — 7 months ago

This is my first experience with this wine. The ruby rim and long legs announce a great wine. And the promise is delivered. I’m greeted with a beautiful bouquet and as soon as I taste it, I decide I have a new favorite wine. Red fruit, sandalwood and a dash of peppermint just to remind you that it can be spring all year. — 6 years ago
Herbaceous, hint of mint and lemon, paired beautifully with a basil infused white fish. — 2 months ago
Loved this one. Very approachable, great tannins. — 3 months ago
Medium ruby , medium wide terracotta , garnet rim . Touches of leather , earthy , caramel coated spiced cherry , vanilla . Elegant on the palate , notes of leather , cherry , black tea , vanilla spice . Fresh acidity , fine tannins , balanced acidity. This has an earthy mineral undertone with good length . This is showing well now and will continue well over the next 10 years or so. — 4 months ago

So glad I have friends who brought this back from Spain for me. Beautiful, perfect spice, oak and dark fruit combo. Perfect finish. (did I mention I love my friends?) 😉 — 6 years ago
deep rich flavors with an subtle oaky vanilla flavor — 3 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. This bottle of the 2005 Gran Reserva came from a Library Release in 2022 so the cork was perfect. The wine pours a garnet color with a translucent core; medium+ viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart, ripe and some dried, mostly red fruits: Bing cherry, raspberries, plum, tobacco, leather, dill and assorted dried garden herbs, gentle baking spices and dry, dusty earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. This is in a lovely spot and yet, has a long life ahead. Drink now with some patience and enjoy through 2045. — 3 months ago
Tasted during WSET Level 2 class on 6/9/25. Very good tenparanillo. Mix of red and black fruits, hints of spice! — 4 months ago
Had in València. We really like this Rioja. Dry and smooth. A definite buy. — 6 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2001 Reserva pours a deep ruby/purple color with an opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and loads of fine sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of mostly dried, desiccated fruit: cherries, blackberries, leather, cocoa, earth and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium, integrated tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose plus the addition of an umami note that’s quite attractive. The finish is medium+ and slightly savory. Drink now. — 7 months ago

Absolut outstanding rosé. Was looking for years to finally drink it. and I was not disappointed. Aged cherry and strawberry notes witha hint of tannins, a hint of smokey tobaccos, etc etc etc — 4 months ago
