Dark, dusty and earthy yet filled with tart cherry and plum. Great acid! Full bodied, robust. Definitely a food wine.

Barnyard nose, fruit is very much alive but tastes over. Finish was not impressive, still good.

Same as last bottle. Softened tannins and great complexity. Love love love. A life-changing wine.

"Frampton Comes Alive". Deceptive color, with only light gradation at the rim. Popped & poured--disappointing initially, tired. Then it wakes up and blossoms in the glass. Lovely nose "shows the way" with notes of cinnamon and oak, licorice. On the palate softened tannins with a amazingly vigorous acidic backbone. Silky tresses. Finishes a bit too soon, with a slow but elegant fadeout, no doubt to the disappointment of (Rioja) groupies everywhere. Nevertheless, baby I love your way.

Birthday wine with lamb chops, garlic mashed potatoes, and creamed peas and onions. Perfect compliment.

Drinking well. All fruit was gone but nice earth, leather and herbal secondary development. Good balance and acidity.

Drank at Lolinda on Monday this week with my team.
