Clos de la Boutiere Maranges 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2022

Very nice premier cru Maranges. Looking for value on the list at the Grill isn’t always easy, but there are usually a couple bottles that catch the eye. Delicious fruit, but with a ton of restraint. Deep earth, good acid, definitely some fuller tannins. Very nice pairing with a variety of dishes. Will be better in a few years but very good today too. — 4 months ago

La Fussière Maranges 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2022

Dar rubi robe, nose of wild berries, cherries and some flowers. Very balanced and dense in the mouth, showing its youth, but was a very satisfying mouthful of a burg red: we liked it a lot. — 14 days ago

Puligny-Montrachet Chardonnay 2022

Outstanding. White burgh but 100+ bucks. Worth it yes i think so for the special occasion (like when I took the 2021 to Tahiti). Too young, classic, very refined citrus fruit, faint bitterness, touch burned hazelnut (already). If you want to know what white Burgh is about and what Chard should be - this is a good one! Keep for 10 years or so. Keep an eye out for this producer - the reds are good too! — 2 months ago

Côte - Rotie 2021

2021 vintage. Decanted and tasted after 30 mins and 1.5 hours. Medium body. Suggestive nose. Nice melding of primary fruits and spices. Tough to lay off now. 12.5.25. — a month ago

@Scott@Mister A’s-San Diego, a new (producer) name for me?? I know I’m not as “up” on Cote Rotie as 15-20 years ago.
