I stand that this is the first vintage of J Lohr of Hilltop its still a life of 29 years a well made wine love it — 9 days ago
Stylistically similar to Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon. Rich and fruit forward with loads of oak influences. Probaly slightly more jammy than Caymus, it also has a bit more minerality nuance.
Undeniably delicious and easy to drink, it might benefit from several more years of bottle age. — 11 days ago
Decanted for 90 minutes and could use more. Oaky nose. Intense, fruity dark chocolate. Insane. — 10 days ago

- 38% Viognier 32% Grenache Blanc 22% Marsanne 8% Roussanne. Nose has wet hay, marzipan, fresh and fermented pear, wet limestone. Fairly intense but lovely and balanced in the mouth. A bit of unripe pear fruit, grapefruit zest, loads of stony minerality taking over as the finish progresses, with a nice bitter prickle at the end. Very nice acids. I like this a lot. — 4 days ago
