Quite young looking lemon , just a hint of gold . very fine bubbles , that dissipate quiet quickly in a white wine glass . Lots of roasted nuts , toasted bread , caramel , and a oyster shell , caramelised lemon peel , saffron , lemongrass and a hint of curry . On the palate this has more of the caramel notes , with saffron , some lemon, mineral a quite tight , slightly astringent acidity and mineral finish. Not overly intense but quite good length , with mineral , oyster shell , toasty , brioche finish . This is fully mature and is at peak in magnum , drink now and over the next 5 -10 years . White and yellow florals. On the palate there are ripe citrus flavours. Delicate with a piercing intensity, if that makes sense - just the right amount of oak influence. At 10 years this white burgundy still has tension but overall a lean impression - a few years left in the cellar - I have one left. Points off for a ridiculously heavy and large bottle. I had to store it in my magnum storage. — 2 months ago
Great Champagne to celebrate Mother’s Day! — a month ago
Medium lemon colour , gold reflexes . Quite a lot of ripe yellow fruits , lemon rind and , orange flower . On the palate this is quite rich and round on the palate with yellow fruits, lemon rind , orange and almost some apricot or peach . Quite high alcohol but balanced acidity, good intensity , quite dense though just balanced overall. Would have preferred a little less weight and a bit more freshness . Alright length . This is ready now , but will probably last another 3-5 years but I wouldn’t leave it too long. — 3 months ago
