I need more. I can’t stop smelling this glass filled with potpourri, dry dirt, ripe raspberries, red currant. Still a good tannic structure with lush acidity. My mouth just salivates right down the sides of the tongue. Then the dirt flavors kick in, minerals, red currant hits first, raspberries, dried roses, and a touch of vanilla on the finish with a hint of blood orange. This is beautiful. — 3 years ago
Great flavors. Some signs of age but delicious — 5 years ago
Wow, what a stunner. So much development in the last 5 years. Black Cherry, violet, marzipan and now black tea and dried fruit. Quite the treat — a month ago

A few years ago before a short trip to Nantes, @Peter van den Besselaar pointed me in the direction of this producer of Muscadet. “Put it in your cellar and forget about it!” he said. I bought 6 bottles of each of the single “vineyards” varieties (they are called different there) and the only thing is….. it should have been 12 or 18 or….. what a fantastic wines they produce, mineral, acid, full bodied. And the PQR is outstanding. They go (as Muscadet should) with fruits de mer, with steamed mussels or simply alone! — 3 months ago
