Initially reductive nose. Smoky minerals and rose petals emerging with air. Highly perfumed bouquet of sour cherries, cranberries and spices. A bit of leather coming through. There’s a driving, shimmering intensity to the fruit that gives this wine a great focus. Fairly light weight on the mid palate, but the fruit and minerality lingers with ample acidity. Food-friendly, versatile, elegant. Chambolle character really speaks here. Fine quality and Old World charm for entry level Bourgogne. Excellent.

I need more. I can’t stop smelling this glass filled with potpourri, dry dirt, ripe raspberries, red currant. Still a good tannic structure with lush acidity. My mouth just salivates right down the sides of the tongue. Then the dirt flavors kick in, minerals, red currant hits first, raspberries, dried roses, and a touch of vanilla on the finish with a hint of blood orange. This is beautiful.

Excellent medium cherry color with classic cherry bouquet. In the mouth lovely flavors of medium light cherries with exquisite minerality and acidity. For a Bourgogne this is exceptional!!
