Château Lafleur-Gazin is situated between Château Lafleur and Château Gazin, and its immediate neighbor is Petrus - I bet that’s one hell of a neighborhood potluck. Currant, cocoa, fig, graphite, and cedar, with a bitter coffee streak that runs through it. — 8 years ago
Soldera's neighbor. Tiny amounts produced. In a incredible place right now. I've had this vintage 2 years ago and from there this serious wine became to integrate all its elements. Now it's perfumed, colour started to fade, terciary aromas are more upfront and alcohol - even at 15% - is totally integrated. Really savory, traditional and structured. Bravo! — 9 years ago
Gifted from a neighbor who had no idea what it is. The good news is that it was in his fridge. The nose is understandably reticent, but the wine is sound. It shows an almost Chenin-like quality of quince paste & pears accented with classic hazelnut flavors. Shows plenty of acidity, very good Sherry. — 9 years ago
pretty damn good! Perfect gateway drug for a California Zinfandel or Merlot lover to start getting into Italian wines. It's big juicy fruit is somehow not too shabby! Definitely more balanced than other Nero's I've tried. It's perfect when you've had an especially hard day. A food pairing would have to be a heavy dish with a red sauce or red meat. gift from a neighbor, makes it taste even better!!!! cheers! — 11 years ago
Call me a sucker for the more rustic edge and brawn of Brunello but this is the one that caught me even though its neighbor Cerbaiona was so alluring tonight. I just want to see where the salvioni will go to. Not that this was dirty or funk just had more stuffing. — 11 years ago
Neighbor of cheval blanc producing great example of high quality Saint-Emilion wines! Buy if you can find the 2010!!!! — 11 years ago
My neighbor brought this out. Wow. From the winemaker of Altagracia. — 12 years ago
This label has a story. In short: I go out for a night on the town with my ex-wife and come home to my former roommate's neighbor polishing off this wine like it was Yellow Tail.!?!?! Rough night! $150 / 95pts — 12 years ago
Tahoe neighbor love. $400 a bottle?? — 13 years ago
Wine No. 4 in the Vosne Romanee lineup. My notes - Powerful yet balanced. Toasty Oak notes. A tarriness to the violets and perfume. Brilliant- probably deserves 💯. Romanee Conti?” The unveiling revealed it to be the next door neighbor La Romanee. My highest pointed wine in the group. — 7 years ago
Had another bottle, aged well. A neighbor of Haut-Brion and La Mission Haut-Brion, Les Carmes is positioned on the same bank. The name derives from the friars, known as ";Les Carmes"; who owned the property between the 16th & 18th century. This estate has been under new ownership since 2010. Predominantly Merlot and Cabernet Franc, aged for 18 months in French oak, (33% new). Red fruit and currants on the nose. Raspberry and plum flavors fine tannins and lingering finish ending with mineral tones. Nice! — 8 years ago
The third wine of the group was a 1989 Pichon Lalande, the cross street neighbor of Pichon Baron that also lies just north of Chateau Latour on the Gironde estuary side of the D2. The Lalande was also in great shape, with very good density and viscosity, it was a soild wall of mature black fruits like currant, bing cherry, and blackberry, with hints of mint and smoke. Texturally it was full-bodied and mouthfilling, with ripe & fleshy tannin, a dense, long finish. — 10 years ago
Incredible Pinot N. Received as a gift from a neighbor and this is indeed a special occasion wine - it's delicate, yet full of fruit while maintaining a robust medium to full body presence. Absolutely wow. — 11 years ago
So there is a reason this was the last bottle on the shelf in an other wise crowded section of Australian in my ole pal Gary V's shop. This was a real nice bottle. On the nose it's very vibrant fresh like an evening in spring with the elderly neighbor still burning wood. The fruits are dark and tight, a hint of eucalyptus and definite real licorice, not twizzlers, possibly Smith Brothers. I always know I enjoy a bottle immensely when I am alone and after a few sips, I point to the bottle and say, that's a good f ing bottle, then realize I am talking to myself. It's all good. 2010. I am Claus, in the house. — 11 years ago
Amazing wine. 2001 was the last year this wine was made. The vineyards were then purchased by neighbor Pavie. Less then 350 cases produced. And the 2000 vintage scored a perfect score of 100 — 12 years ago
College send off of our neighbor! First kid of the rat pack to take off. Must....drink...yummy....stuff! — 13 years ago
Happy Halloween to all! No spooky bottles in our cellar, but I do have this delicious rosé!
Prior notes still apply.
A beautiful Kimmeridgian soiled Pinot Noir! Very round and beautiful on the palate, all stainless in the process so very clean fruits. Cherry skin, minor orange zest, green melon, light tannins, very enjoyable strawberry finish, great value as a neighbor to Sancerre for under $15. — 8 years ago

Very smooth Merlot + Cab blend for the price. Vineyards apparently neighbor Margaux. — 8 years ago
Barreled age beer, peaty flavor. Very delicious and dangerous (strong). Gift from master of our neighbor beer bar. Thank you very much:-)) #quemlin #anniversary — 9 years ago
2010 vintage. A totally unknown winery to me given to me by a grateful neighbor. I noted that the bottle quality portended a high-end wine. So I decided to wait to have it with a group of friends who'd appreciate something like this— a good decision. Upon opening, the nose struck me as a fine French Bordeaux with a big of age. The palate was fine and smooth with medium tannins. It's got a lovely full body and a nicely aged fruit that shows a sweet leather note. My friends loved it, as did I. What a treat to subsequently find out (through Charine Tan's review here) just what a special wine this was to have been given. — 9 years ago
With neighbor Dave. Pretty good — 10 years ago
@Gary Vaynerchuk & the Wine Library team are 2-2 on their Neighbor wines. This red is very approachable and very good. It's a blend of Syrah and Grenache. The toasty, smoky nose reminds me of Baco Noir and it has a subtle cranberry-currant taste. — 11 years ago
Cavus is a rich cab representative of Stag's Leap that reviles its next neighbor Hillside Select. With dark chocolate on the finish this is fantastic with red meat. Worthy of a try with anyone seeking a memorable experience!! — 11 years ago
Broke out my favorite Gewürz with Adam's brother, nephew, and his nephew's new girlfriend tonight. I really like her! — 12 years ago
Perfect wine. First neighbor to Gaja!!! — 13 years ago
Severn G

A Conn Creek neighbor for this particular vineyard.
Nose has cherry/plum liquor, dried citrus rind, charred oak, rain-soaked soil, spring green herbs, mocha-coffee and toasted graham cracker.
Palate has cedar-infused black currant, plum skin, earthy and dirty wet leather and mild tannins.
Paired with a wonderfully grilled t-bone tonight.
This bottle easily has several years to go, enjoyed in it's youth tonight for sure. Future bottles can be 2020-2023 without concern.
For me, this wine is reminiscent of many 90's vintages of Sterling (SVR) wines that we have enjoyed over the years, minty cigar box, just wonderful. — 7 years ago
