What a nice little Syrah! It benefited from a light chill, which helped it show its fine structure. This seems like a good daily wine at this truly affordable price. The nose has a nice blackberry note with a faint note of smoke, which makes it stand up, rather than fall into thick sweetness. The nose follows through on the palate. It paired beautifully with a grass-fed-beef burger topped with a buttery Gouda cheese. This is one of those wines that one glass leads to another and another and.... — 10 years ago

Its a smooth and silky sake, but a touch too sweet for my tastes. If it had better acidity, I would have enjoyed it more. Had it at St James Place with Anne and Steve. — 10 years ago
Nice little sparkler for the price. — 10 years ago

Slightly brown robe. Lovely nose and palate of an aged burgundy— enough fruit to really enjoy as a pre-dinner wine. — 10 years ago
Almost black color. Dark flavored, but without overwhelming tannins. Good balance of acid and fruit. The whole bottle went down all too easily. — 10 years ago

2010 vintage. A totally unknown winery to me given to me by a grateful neighbor. I noted that the bottle quality portended a high-end wine. So I decided to wait to have it with a group of friends who'd appreciate something like this— a good decision. Upon opening, the nose struck me as a fine French Bordeaux with a big of age. The palate was fine and smooth with medium tannins. It's got a lovely full body and a nicely aged fruit that shows a sweet leather note. My friends loved it, as did I. What a treat to subsequently find out (through Charine Tan's review here) just what a special wine this was to have been given. — 9 years ago
