A big wine in a big bottle that made a big group of friends very happy. The 2017 Evangelho Heritage (from magnum) is energetic with loads of sweet dark fruit. It doesn’t lack zing even though this year’s blend is short in Carignan — there are nice balancing acids and mild tannins. It is richer and riper than many vintages but still vibrant. — 11 days ago
This wine is fantastic… after 10 years. — 5 days ago
Let her open up a bit. Rustic and medium bodied, earthy, just like a Umbria wine should taste — 2 days ago
I love this wine. — 5 days ago
Obviously too young but surprisingly approachable, great oaked nose — 2 days ago
A beautiful shock of garnet, this thin and clear Barolo is lovely, but a little more of a bite than I’d hope for this vintage. The aftertaste lingers nicely (with a light woody flavor), but doesn’t have as smooth of a finish as I’d prefer. It’s still a beautiful wine and love that it comes in a 375 ml bottle. — a month ago
Vino Joe
Still has plenty of zip to go with the rich heft. Drinking well with a lengthy decant. — 17 days ago
