2020 vintage. Apparently, Brezza Giacomo e Figli is a certified organic producer in Barolo, known for crafting high-quality Barbera d'Alba Superiore. This was a well-structured Barbera I found best decanted for 30 minutes. Black fruit, herbs and white pepper on the nose. Medium body with notes of blackberry, tart cherry. and dried herbs and a play between moderate acidity and tannin with a exceptional medium length finish. This was perfect with pasta puttanesca and tuna and white bean salad. — 7 months ago
Ароматное, на вкус не очень сложное, но Сереже понравилось. Пардон, питкое. — 9 months ago
Dust, tar, dark cherry, white pepper, and anise on the nose. The same flavors come through on the palate with balsamic and fresh mushrooms emerging as well. Smooth and lush on the palate, and the tannins and acidity are beautifully balanced. Persistent finish but a little drying on the palate. Overall a pleasure to drink. I bet this will be great after a few years when those tertiary flavors are more developed. — 22 days ago
Crisp, very peachy, a little floral . Maybe white peach or mimosa? Nice acid but balanced. — 5 months ago

From magnum. Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2021 pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the make, the wine is developing with notes of cherry, cranberry, pomegranate, red flowers, licorice and a mix of cool and warm spices. On the palate the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Well made. Drink now through 2036. — 4 months ago

The first vintage of these that I ever had. I had several shortly after release and then sent a few off to storage. This is the first I’ve had of those. I also own 2016 and 2019. Those are better vintages, so it will be interesting to see how they differ. 2009 was an approachable vintage and has aged well. Enjoyed over two nights. The first night it was a little hot and you could sense the burn in the nose and palate (more nose though). Second night it came together well and was quite enjoyable and fragrant. First night with Lebanese lamb, fattoush salad, and cheese rolls. Second night with ribeye, snap peas, and brown & wild rice. — 5 days ago
