2017 vintage. Last tasted 9.29.25 (9.2). Decanted and tasted after 45 minutes and 1.5 hours. Solid and starting to improve throughout the experience. Was medium-medium heavy body but starting to thin out a little and closer to dead-center medium currently. Likely won't get the chance but feel like this score will creep up to 9.3 in the next 3-4 years. Not a huge jump but, given the $43.27 bottle cost/ resto price paid, fairly decent value for VV Pommard. 1.30.26. — 5 months ago
Bright ruby color. Aromas of red berry fruit, violets, wood smoke and wet soil. Flavors of red cherries and currants with additional notes of cooked mushrooms, baking spices and coffee. Medium bodied but a bit short on the mid-palate. Silky tannins and light acidity. Part of Kevin Zraly’s 2025 Red Burgundy Master Class. — 8 months ago

2021 was a cooler finesse year in CdP and it shows with this wine. Savory nose: charcuterie, dried plums and fig. It doesn’t drink hot, plenty of snappy acidity, some spicy notes, wild cherry and grippy tannins on the finish. I’ll be seeking out more 2021 CdPs based on this one. #châteauneufdupape — 4 months ago
Well aged CdP that is supple and floral with a beam of tension underlying it — 7 months ago
2002 vintage. Decanted and tasted throughout the course of 3 hours. A trace of sediment. Still fairly dark on the color. Good fill, good cork. Light-medium body. Nose had an aggressive orange zest/dried orange peel mixed with cinnamon and cherry nose for two hours that infiltrated the flavor profile. Eventually, a bit of cranberry and raspberry emerged as the prominent movers and shakers. Initially thought the wine to be a 9.0 but prettied up to a 9.1. Could just be "in transition" or not a top-notch bottle. Seemed to be potentially holding something back and got the feeling another bottle might show a little better. 12.9.23. — 3 years ago

Still performing on ripe lemon infused freshness and a flinty mineral undertone. Excellent. — 8 days ago
