Probably the richest Manzanilla I’ve ever had. From Valdespino house, single vintage! And in a reisling style bottle. Evocative nose w such strong notes of sea spray, hearts of palm, star fruit; palate is notably broad & intensely long, w same aroma notes repeated on palate along with all kinds of complex layers of Brazil nuts & oxidized white fruits. Tasted blind friend thought Jura at first. Just absolutely marvelous & am kicking myself for not buying more, though a seriously limited production. Just wow. Perhaps tasting was influenced by a giddy Knicks win but ain’t that the fun…. — 3 days ago

N: Old Boats, salt, citrus, vanilla, yeast, straw, pungency! Dried caramel.
P: Such a blast ! Dried seaweed, brine, orange peel, vanilla in the background.
Mouth completely engaged.

100% Pedro Ximenez from vineyards in Moriles Altos, one of the top areas within the Montilla-Moriles appellation. Vines are rooted in albariza (tosca hojaldrada) soils. Aged for an average of 3 years under flor in the solera system and bottled en rama (unfiltered). Intense nose with notes of toasted almonds and yeast. Sharp, very dry and saline on the palate.
