Al Biernat’s $175, mineral, grapefruit great value — 3 months ago
Cote du Rhône blend of Grenache (60%) and Syrah (40%). Deep garnet color with a ruby core. Aromas of red and black berry fruit, garrigue and baking spices. Same fruit flavors (very ripe) with notes of black licorice, black pepper and vanilla. Medium-plus finish and well balanced acidity. Smooth texture and tannins. This wine expresses the two varietals in the blend beautifully. Exceptional quality for the price. Revisited in February 2025. Solid. — 3 months ago
Amazing aged Riesling - this bottle turned out better than the last. Stewed and bruised golden apples, still-kicking acid, almond/caramel type nuttiness. Held up well with time! — 5 months ago

Along with Egly-Ouriet, simply the best entry-level grower champ on the market (IMO). This is 70% base vintage, and 30% reserve wines. Blend is 33/33/33% Pinot/Chard/Meunière. 30+ months on lees… damn delicious. Disgorgement: June 2023 / Dosage: 6 gr/l — 2 months ago
Tasted over Christmas 2024. My first time trying Pol Roger, and a really great experience – this was a tick above many of the Grandes Marques and I found it to be quite refined. I suspect the dosage is fairly high, since it was so very drinkable, but no complaints from me! — 4 months ago
This is a delightful and classic champagne. It has a lot of the yeasty character to complement it’s fruit and a lovely, fine mousse. But personally, what always moves me about this wine is remembering that it was the one my late brother always used to drink with his partner. Every time I have it, it lets me feel like I am celebrating with him again. — 4 months ago
Cheers to Champagne Charlie!
This is the Charles Heidsieck Brut Rosé Réserve. It’s made with a blend of Pinot Noir (40%), Chardonnay (35%), Meunier (25%). It’s a non-vintage wine that cellared in Charles Heidsieck’s famous chalk cellars (crayeres) for 4+ years.
It’s a beautiful salmon hue in appearance and offers complex aromas and flavors including strawberry shortcake, lemon curd, fresh raspberry, baked peach, pie crust, brioche, cream, nougat, toasted almond croissant, candied nuts, and dried pink rose petals. On the palate is a fine and creamy mousse and vibrant acidity.
It’s positively delicious, complex, and balanced. A non-vintage that drinks like a vintage champagne. Yum! — 5 months ago

smooth and silky as a baby’s butt! gets better after an hour of decanting. — 3 months ago
Pale gold color in glass. Yeasty notes up front that dissipate with bubbles, light citrus, soft green apple and wet stone on the nose. Palate is delightful, prominent salted lemon peel at the forefront, green apple, precisely balanced acidity and dosage. Sometimes there’s no substitute for quality #grandcruchampagne — 7 months ago
