2005 vintage. Beautiful nose, with cassis, blackberries, cedar wood, a little smokiness, and flowers. Seriously concentrated, combining power and elegance. Layers of fruit in a tight but ripe tannic structure. Showing beautifully now, but it should age effortlessly for decades. Classic Saint-Julien. — 3 months ago
Smooth, medium body, a bit dry on its own, rounds out nicely when paired with Chateaubriand. — 6 months ago
Exquisite and delicious!!
Beautifully balanced between fresh, vibrant apple, lemon peel notes and brioche, biscuit, toasted almond, and pastry notes, with some delicate bruised pear characteristics revealing a bit of bottle age.
Mousse is fine-grained, persistent, and well-integrated. So good! — 6 months ago
Textbook #loirevalley #cabernetfranc, this one from #touraine ; It was late in the evening after happy hour so notes are a bit more approximate than usual. 😜 Pyrazines active, green pepper notes, shy black/purple fruit, soft tannins and a vegetal earthiness on the palate. It could have been served cooler by the bar but nice night cap nonetheless. — 3 months ago

Dark ruby color. Aromas of dark berries and plums, with additional hints of purple flowers and cocoa. Bold flavors of blackberry, boysenberry, black plum, dark chocolate, strong coffee and sweet spices. Long finish and full bodied. Light on the acidity and very silky tannins. Rich and concentrated. Thanking Weston and Beckki for opening this bottle. — 2 months ago
