Third and final time trying the 2017 Condrieu ‘La Petite Côte’ from Yves Cuilleron, a wine I first tried in 2020 and described then as ‘liquid sunshine’. At seven/eight years of age, it might not be quite as stunning as it was on that first occasion, but it’s still a gorgeous, joyful wine full of Amalfi lemon, white flowers and nectarine, with an oily, waxy texture and lovely bitterness on the finish. Definitely better young, but holding up nicely, and I’d buy this again. — 3 months ago

Had after a Tempranillo. Felt lighter. But still great. — 2 months ago
Blend of Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Syrah, & Charbono. Deep Ruby color with aromas of ripe berry fruits and sweet spice. On the palate flavors of cherry, blackberry and plum with cacao, baking spice and vanilla. Fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, spice and tobacco notes. — 3 months ago
Dismissed by many as too jammy or too ripe, I’ve always thought this is the fun bottling. This ‘21 is no exception. Beneath the slightly over extracted ripe dark fruits lies quite complex aromas and flavors of figs, sweet spices, dark chocolate, smoke meat, and hint of balsamic. Rich palate but not overbearing. In a good vintage like ‘21, this can benefit for 5-8 years of bottle age.
My guilty pleasure. — 5 months ago
Absolutely loved this wine! Perfect for fall. Full, balanced, and bold. Warms your pallet from the first sip. Simply divine! — 7 months ago
2013 vintage. The second wine of La Chapelle, that is now named " Maison Bleue", but an excellent wine in its own right. At 9 years old this is absolutely gorgeous with an expressive nose of blackberries, wild flowers, pepper and leather, enhanced by a subtle smokiness. In the mouth it combines power with elegance, with pure fruit, subtle spices, silky tannins and great length. Terrific value if the mythical La Chappelle doesn't fit your budget. the spooky label is what drew me in. trader joe’s suggested pairing this wine with mexican food, so naturally we sipped with a beautiful array of cheeses and crackers while viewing the bachelorette finale. it was divine. would def buy again. — 8 months ago
"Odedi"
Ruby in color with a wide reddish/brick rim.
Fruit forward on the nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing sweet cherries, raspberries, blueberries, black currants, plums, chocolates, light oak, earth, cola, herbs, spices, light vanilla, licorice, peppercorn and tobacco leaf.
Nice tangy finish with soft tannins.
This 6-year-old Zinfandel blend from Sonoma County is drinking at its peak. Spicy and fruit forward. Elegant and juicy.
Great right out of the bottle, but even better after a few hours of air, when the complexity really comes to life.
The alcohol is very nicely integrated by now. Easy drinking and nicely balanced. A great sipping wine.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
91 points.
