Golden delicious and butterscotch. — 8 months ago
Pale lemon color with aromas of bright citrus and tropical fruit with herb and floral notes. On the palate flavors of melon, crisp apple and lemon citrus fruit, some honeysuckle tones with lively acidity. Medium+ finish ending with fruit, grapefruit citrus, herb baking spice and crisp mineral notes. Nice! — 8 months ago
Lucky to go up the Sugar Shack ladder once again. Great salinity on this. Great notes of honeydew, mango, banana pudding, dried herbs on the nose and entry of the wine. The middle explodes here, showing a wonderful white flower with herb and yellow fruits. Full throttle. This was the best chard on the table, and that's saying something with a 13 Pahlmeyer Faire, 12 Marcassin Marcassin, and two 11 Kistlers ALSO on the table. — 7 years ago

This is a serious wine. On par with Pahlmeyer, but rising above in terms of focus, and letting the fruit shine more than the oak. Bravo. Pipe tobacco, damp earth and mulled blueberries — 8 years ago
WoW 😲 without question delicious — 8 years ago
Medium lemon color with aromas of ripe stone and citrus fruits and floral notes. On the palate flavors of pear, apple and melon with notes of lemon citrus, honeysuckle and vanilla oak. Well balanced with acidity, long finish ending with fruit, toasty oak and mineral notes, consistent! A Fav!! — 8 months ago
This is a nice, crisp and smooth Chardonnay. — 4 years ago
Yeah so... Ok. In a lineup of a 2010 Pahlmeyer Jayson, a 2008 Summers Estate Cab, and this one, it was quite a bit easier to tell the difference between this and the other 2 than I thought it would be. This wine is simply delicious. Mouth coating and full throttle blackberry cassis and sandalwood, vanilla and wildflowers. Middle is a bit roasted with still a ton and a half of blackberry, sweet youthful plums. Excellent baking spice note and a hint of cinnamon and leather here. Finishes with youthful character. Chewy toasted tannin. Wow. Close to a 97 IMO. In a 4 year vertical of this (07-10), I chose the 07 even knowing the 2010 was a 100 pointer. And after having this 07, I am glad I went to this side of the lineup and really wonder if the 2010 is ready to GO just yet, even with a huge decant. Has another 25 years of life. — 7 years ago
Surprise 2009 Napa Merlot tasting after the Pahlmeyer tasting.
Deep and dark ruby red. Layered nose with a little bit of stinginess, cassis, black currants, and blackberries. Heavy tannins (7.5/10) and medium plus to full bodied. Solid acidity and notes of dark berries, spices, graphite and pencil shavings. Long finish. Drink till 2022. — 8 years ago

Ruby in color with a reddish rim. Not showing it's age.
Pretty nose with black currants, black plums, blackberries, licorice, cedar, herbs, tobacco leaf, chocolates, dark coffee, pencil lead, light earth and peppercorn.
Full-bodied and elegant with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with black currants, blackberries, black plums, cooked cherries, cedar, spices, toast, licorice, chocolates, tobacco, earth, light alcohol, peppercorn, green tea and herbs.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux blend from Napa Valley. Showing a great nose right out of the bottle.
Rich and extracted, yet elegant. Very complex and spicy. Smooth, yet powerful. Does not feel like it's 18 year old at all.
This Cabernet Sauvignon from the great 2007 vintage in Napa Valley is showing beautifully now. Fully matured, but has enough energy to last it much longer. Drinking at its peak, and will continue to drink nicely in the next 7 years.
I love these aged Napa Bordeaux blends. Easy drinking and good by itself as a sipping wine.
A blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec. Aged for 18 months in (79% new) French oak barrels.
15.2% alcohol by volume.
94 points.

@Delectable Wine -This wine is the Jayson by Pahlmeyer “The Bench” Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Dark ruby color. Aromas of black berry fruit and sweet oak. Dark blackberry, boysenberry, black currant and plum fruit with additional notes of chocolate and black pepper. Very long finish that has an acidic bite. Extremely fruit forward, concentrated and plush. Still quite young, so more bottle age may be needed. Part of the Capital Grill 2025 Generous Pour Program. We were told that this is the initial vintage of this wine. — 10 months ago
The 2010 Esprit de Beaucastel from Tablas Creek was a tough act to follow, but this elegant Rhône blend from Sonoma just did that.
The nose was quite similar with aroma of blue fruits and earthy elements with hint of violet, it was the palate that set it apart: soft, complex and deep, with great texture and beautiful acidity that adds the tension. Elegant and seamless.
Kale Anderson was the long time wine maker at Pahlmeyer, and Kale wines are all vineyard-specific. Worth seeking out. — 7 years ago
1990 Solaia. Dinner at Ner w J&J D. Drank after the ‘97 Pahlmeyer Merlot. Awesome. Very different than the Pahlmeyer so hard to compare, but K really loved this wine. — 8 years ago
