Concentrated and intense, creamy nectarine, peach pitt, honeysuckle, orange peel. Terrific wine and would never believe how high alcohol. 14.5%. — 7 years ago
Crisp, light with subtle green apple and nectarine. Dry mouth feel that lags (flavor hits a few seconds after you swallow). Hard to pinpoint but objectively a good fucking wine.
Good on it’s own. Not meant to pair with anything - maybe white fish? Wine you drink because your drinking, not pairing — 7 years ago
Pretty solid Montlouis-sur-Loire. More on the lean, minerally side of Chenin. Pours a medium (-) straw-gold hue. Moderate concentration of aromatics of tart green apple and key lime, underripe nectarine, an almost smoky crushed flint minerality, white floral character, some subtle Parmigiano rind leesy character, and a bit of anise and chamomile. On the palate the wine has laserlike focus and plenty of cut, and in terms of flavor is almost identical to the nose, with plenty of tart fruit and mineral verve. High acid, dry, light to medium (-) body but with a nice oily texture from lees. Really would love this with a bright seafood dish or maybe even some oysters. — 8 years ago
This is outstanding chard. Ocean air and smoke on the nose. You can sense the level of toast on the barrels used here. The palate is dense, yet balanced. Dried apricots, pineapple, golden raisins, butterscotch, then moving to nectarine, honeycomb, kumquat, susumu orange, the layers just keep coming. The more time you let this longer in the glass, the more you will discover. Great acidity to balance the richness. 7 years old and going strong. Lots more ahead. — 9 years ago
Juicey, tart, grapefruit and nectarine. — 10 years ago
2013 vintage-Beautiful salmon-gold color. Salty smoke, strawberry, yellow and bing cherry nose/palate with dried herbs, smoke, red apple peel, nectarine and a touch of cheese rind. Needs raw salmon sashimi or Jamon Iberico. — 10 years ago
07 Leeuwin art chard: bright and youthful appearance, no premox here! ; cx bouquet of white stone fruit, nectarine, iodine salty wood tang; easy almost gentle entry, medium weight palate of cx fruit w oak prominent but not too loud, easy finish, med length. Nice wine, perhaps without the intensity and dramatic impact I associate w Leeuwin art. — 11 years ago
A seriously mysterious wine - idiosyncratically traditional, traditionally idiosyncratic. Secondary and tertiary aromas shine, but there’s still plenty of fruit - apricot, nectarine. Smoke, Stone. Wow. — 7 years ago
Displaying mineral-driven raspberry, blood orange, nectarine character, 2017 La Bastide’s Blanche Bandol Rosé shows outstanding clarity and cut on a finish that lingers with strong, floral-tinged persistence. This is a classic rendition from France’s Bandol region. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, August 2018) — 7 years ago
Wonderful wine for a hot Spring day. Refreshingly bright with nice acidity. Aromas of white/yellow stone fruit - apricot and nectarine. Long, satisfying finish. — 7 years ago
Nice weight with a refreshing mineral finish. Lots of peach, nectarine, lemon pith, a dash of vanilla, and some almond skin — 7 years ago
Small portions of oak work giving this creamy texture with a slightly rubbery underlying phenolic grip. This is clean, varietal and safe. The only thing pulling it back is that sometimes these aromatic varietals really need some funk or experimentation. Flinty, savoury and textural. Cooked pineapple, Chardonnay-like tart peach, dill, white nectarine and white pepper aromas. — 9 years ago
Lifted white flowers on the nose. Succulent nectarine coated in lemon. Stone licking finish. — 9 years ago
Liquid nectarine! Delicious! Pretty weighty, oily mouthfeel. Lovers of off-dry Riesling (like me) should dig it. — 9 years ago
awesome Mosel juice that i snagged for a song ($13 at Brooklyn Wine Exchange). it's nervy and vivacious; highly aromatic, it smells, and tastes, like pineapple and nectarine smashed on slate, spritzed with lime and petrol. its acidity blazes like a pulsar, guiding your way to delight. #riesling #drinkmoreriesling #mosel — 9 years ago
Great producer in Muscadet, where this wine will soon become a Cru designated bottling. Very high mineratility with a sort of nectarine like fruit in the background. — 10 years ago
Citrus , peach , nectarine , gd length — 10 years ago
January Wednesday Wine Committees are always a great as the red wines are required to be 11yrs old, making all of the reds 2008 vintage. 1 sparkler, 2 whites, 4 reds and 1 dessert wine were served today, all blind.
Another wine that was hard not to get...quintessential Sauternes. Honey comb, honeyed nectarine and peaches, orange blossom. The acidity from this producer (being fairly low), in my experience, lends me to think these are best enjoyed on the younger side (15yrs) as opposed to others than can go 20+. — 6 years ago
Beautiful peach and nectarine bouquet. Lovely tart rosé. — 7 years ago
It’s officially Summer! Time for Rosé. Tempier is one of my favorite Rosés. They’re even better when you let them round out a year in bottle before enjoying. The color darkens to a slightly rustic orange color.
On the nose, some sour notes with a little funk. Sweetness and sourness in the fruits. Strawberries, tangerine, cherries, Georgia peach, nectarine skin, juicy watermelon near the rhine, unbelievably just a touch of petrol, gummy character, chalkiness and fresh pink spring flowers and pink roses.
The body is round and full for Rosé. Sweetness and sourness in the fruits. Strawberries, tangerine, oranges, cherries, Georgia peach, nectarine skin, juicy watermelon near the rhine, well ripened rhubarb, just a touch of petrol, gummy character, spice, chalkiness, perfect intensity of crushed volcanic minerals with fresh pink spring flowers and pink roses. The acidity is like a waterfall. The length, structure, tension and balance are excellent. The long, rich, elegant finish is beautiful and lasts minutes. It’s delicious!!!
Photos from our 2016 visit. Domaine Tempier tasting room and cellars, shot of our barrel tasting w/ their assistant Winemaker (a sweetheart), the digging for their additional cellar; which I imagine is now complete and the view from the Domaine entrance — 7 years ago
Very complex nose with pear, candied orange peel and nectarine accented with a creamy, mineral notes. The palate is quite lush with creamy orange and sweet apple fruit. The residual sugar is buttressed by vivid acidity that makes this wine feel drier than it is. The wine develops with air and has great density. The wine's complexity should continue to intensify with further bottle age. — 8 years ago
Light straw color. Coche Dury nose. Nose of lemon curd, wet stone, clove and freshly sliced not ripe nectarine. In the mouth a great balance of fruit and acidity. Shorter finish. Really good for the vintage. JF Coche makes this for Johan at D&S and it's a winner. — 9 years ago
Wow. Loads of nectarine, passion fruit, white pepper, tomato leaf. Not overpowering acid. Nicely balanced. One of our favorites. — 9 years ago

Stunning and youthful. Grilled pineapple, apricot, lemon zest, nectarine ... The flavor nuances are endless. Very sweet (162 g/L!!) But so well balanced with acidity and depth of flavor. A beautiful Barsac and it will keep almost forever — 6 years ago
