I’ve had other brunellos they always seemed over oxidized. This one was age well with the right amount of oxidation. Very good for the price. Brown edges on a clear ruby wine. Missing some of the middle complexity, but for the price it is a wonderful wine. — 3 years ago
Dark ruby dress. Multidimensional nose with juicy black fruits, animal, leather pepper. Delicate and deep mouth. Interesting ending but we are still on a classic, agreed style, without surprise, which today seems outdated in view of the new trends in wine on fruit, purity, biodynamics etc. Something is missing somewhere, especially with regard to the price/prestige!
Robe rubis sombre. — 4 years ago
Winemaker dinner at Nari. This was clearly young and tasted next to the 2011 missing the depth of maturity — 10 months ago
Okay … cork completely fell apart on opening. Wine seemed unaffected though. Deep color but not yet dark. It was not as thick as I would have expected for 16 years. It was a bit underwhelming vs expectation. Not lengthy in its finish and missing the array of tropical flavors but was still good. Just not great. — 3 years ago

Beautiful subtle aroma from Merlot makes it pretty. Its free spirit nose makes you feel what the wine is going to be about. Drinkable and fresh. Apparently missing weight but it doesn’t miss a bit all the way thru the tasting. The aftertaste is long and very, very pleasant after one minute. — 2 years ago
2011 Nine Suns, their first vintage. I feel like the last bottle I had of the ‘11 tasted better. Loads of cherry, tremendously structured with perfect balance of acidity and still strong and dense tannins. Drinks smoothly but missing the usual feeling I get from Nine Suns. Nevertheless, Nine Suns is always something special. UPDATE: Apparently this bottle just needed an 1 hr plus of air time. After that it was singing! Updating rating. — 3 years ago

Honey and lemon aromas and flavors in this solid aged CA Rhone Blanc, 75% Roussanne in this particular vintage, nice balance, good weight and depth, lingering finish, only thing missing is the oily, viscous component that many French Rhone Blanc made predominantly with Roussanne or Marsanne often exhibit. A bottle we had of this exact same wine back in February of this year showed much better. — 7 months ago
