Main Ridge Estate

Half Acre Mornington Peninsula Pinot Noir 2016

A beautiful Mornington Peninsula Pinot drinking at its peak. A nice blend of red fruits and earthy nuances - M+ intensity on the palate. Again the lightness in colour belies that palate intensity - a sweet palate. Main Ridge Estate was an early producer in Mornington and remains highly rated - Half Acre being their Premium Cuvée. Bottles from this estate are not readily available even in Australia. NOTE DELECTABLE - this Cuvée is the Half Acre Not the Acre. — a month ago

Marvellous wine!!
So unfortunate he sold
Wines are the same anymore imo
What do you think of the last vintages?

@Ceccherini Cristiano I didn’t realise the original owners had sold. I haven’t got an extensive tasting experience with Main Ridge and have not tasted their recent vintages. I do enjoy the limited vintages I have in my cellar like this one.

PnP. Drinking young. Very dark, thick red color. Medicinal tones, cedar, and dark cherries on the nose with some oak. Same on the palate. Seems higher than the 14.4 OH. Next to zero finish which is disappointing. Average Napa Cab right now and seems way overpriced at $60+. — 2 years ago
