Beautiful pure nose. Lacking mid palate deepness at this stage but overall nice and well balanced and integrated. Closing a bit harsh but this will improve with time. — 12 days ago
Yum! Elegance and precision. Lacking depth on the mid palate but then it comes back with its evident classy personality. — 12 days ago
My first HB. Some of the other tasters thought this wasn’t showing its best but without the past context of other ‘86 HBs I thought it was very good. — 5 months ago
Thick and layered. Power machine with a subtle feminine touch of the aromatics. Finish very long and charming aftertaste. — 11 days ago
Dense, stony and intense. Lacking fruit — 12 days ago
Pure and expressive. Very nicely integrated and balanced. 93-94 — 12 days ago
2020 vintage. Big, darkly-fruited nose that rolls over to the flavors. Medium body. Great complexity for initial and mid-palates, Finish is where things drop off a cliff. Solid banger for the price. If only some of that impressive, frontal assault could be transferred to the back end, we'd be in clover. Nice, first-time BDX to get the palate rolling/draw people in tho. 3.15.24. — 2 months ago
Deep gold in color. Lower acidity than expected. Lots of white stone fruit and sweetness with some biscuit on the palette. Great complement to Brie. For the vintage and the producer a little underwhelming. — 13 days ago
Выпито 24.04.24 в ресторане 2* Michelin La Chèvre D’or с Сергеем Л. и его друзьями. Достойный Figeac 2015 года. Вме было на очень достойном уровне. 🍷 — 10 days ago
Nicely open. Fruity and lean. Fresh and classy. — 11 days ago
Piacevole artigianalita. Naturally expressive. Quite untouched fruit. Finish a bit harsh. May improve. — 12 days ago
Can’t tell if not in a great spot or maybe some slight heat damage—but leaning to the latter. Tasty, but not as good as it should have been — 2 months ago
Great wine, from a half bottle.
Lots of complexity and depth of flavor. Honey, white chocolate and caramel. Nectarine, pear and bloodorange. Almonds, oats and buttery cookie-dough.
Exquisite balance, luscious sweerness, fresh acidity and spicy bitterness.
Deeeelicious now! — 23 days ago
Nice orange peel touch. Lacking a bit on the mid palate. Then wafting back on the aftertaste — 11 days ago
Piacevole e pronto presto. Fresco e semplice — 12 days ago
La finesse. Et puis, la puissance. 96-97+ — 12 days ago
Intense. Closing a bit “technical” for my taste. Will improve. 95+ — 12 days ago
This was drinking well at 49 yrs showing structure & finesse with a silky & polished texture that is still youthful with black fruit, cassis, graphite, menthol, glycerin note & tobacco. — a month ago
The powerful and dense l’Evangile 2015 is according to some experts the last vintage of the classic style of the chateau. I have no experience with more recent vintages, all I can determine is this wine is wonderful. Fairly fragrant. The palate is voluptuous with a creaminess and melted tannins. Ripe fruits, baking spices, black truffle, olives, peppercorns, rock salt, sweet tobacco, noble wood, chocolate, roasted coffee beans. So opulent and so delicious. — 3 months ago

So deep and layered nose. Just wanna dive in and stay there. What a wonderful World. Despite The palate does not fully respect the nose, it is very balanced and integrated. Don’t say 2023 isn’t a good vintage!! 98-99. Elegance. — 11 days ago
