Bold with a smooth finish. Definite notes of berry but not overwhelming. Loved it but can find pinots I love even more for less than half the price. — 10 years ago
The French oak on this comes up with noticeable spice like ginger/pepper and I wouldn't be surprised if there's whole cluster pressing going on because the tannin and florality is just so forward on this. Cherries, geraniums, somewhat dark and bruised red and black fruit going on like dragonfruit and prunes.. Not really any signs of earth which I'm starting to notice goes for most Cali Pinots. — 10 years ago
Not as opulent as some Central Otago Pinots. This is from Martinborough. James Halliday who has had more Burgundies than most of us called this the "Pommard of New Zealand"! Notes of spice and rhubarb with excellent length. A top quality Pinot. Not cheap at $100+. — 10 years ago
Enjoyed at 15 Fox Place for Brian's birthday dinner — 11 years ago
Wonderful. Amazing nose. Improved with every minute in the glass. Also had a good decant of about two hours. This was 2nd place of our 6 Pinots. — 11 years ago
2012. I enjoyed this a lot more than the 2011 but the 2012 OR pinots are generally drinking better than '11s. — 11 years ago
Delicious full bodied front with silky tannins. Worth the $100 & one of best pinots ever tasted — 12 years ago
One of the funkier Pinots I have experienced. Among other things, it was earthy with a hint of mushroom — 13 years ago

Excellent Dundee Hills Pinot. $45 at the winery, a bargain comparable to Pinots costing much more — 9 years ago
I would say this is in-between a cab lovers Pinot and your typical Pinot. Not quite as heavy, but the plum and texture on the tongue lean me towards cab style. I loved it. Then again, hard to beat RRV pinots. Bing cherry, cola, Cedar and baking spice. Happy birthday @Cody Cotten ! — 10 years ago
One of 2 Pinots sampled with Chilean sea bass with good friends. Spicy, peppery. Decided it was a nice drinking wine but didn't pair as well with fish. Trying to choose a Pinot for a party. — 10 years ago
10 year old pinots are more than possible, they can be fabulous — 10 years ago
This has really come together with a little age. Even at 15% alcohol- it is not the syrupy sap that some Cali pinots become at that level. Very good indeed. — 10 years ago
Holy shit. The Pinot of all Pinots. — 11 years ago
Oregon's 2011 Pinots weren't everyone's favorite, but this effort is a delicate beauty. — 11 years ago
Drinking at its peak. One of the top 3 or 4 Aussie Pinots IMO. Has been great for many years. Obviously a brilliant terroir. 18- — 12 years ago
One of my favorite Pinots. Fruity and light. I really enjoyed it. — 13 years ago
Smooth and creamy, this is a rich, chocolate red blend. The flavors are restrained and subtle, and the medium body is pleasant on the palate. There is a hint of fresh blueberries and some cherries in the finish. — 9 years ago
Finally able to lock down reservations at Magdalena's. They have a unique set up in that they have a set menu that changes every week, and you are notified the week before if there are spots available...they sell out within 5mins! We were lucky to get on the list for their most recent "Supper Club" as they call it.
Based on the menu, we figured 1 white and 1 red was appropriate. After enjoying my favorite Sauv Blanc (the Addax SB), my buddy Luke (who is a big Pinot fan) brought this to expand our knowledge on pinots and see what Oregon has cooking. At pop and pour, this was delicious. Lots of cherries, leather and dates on the nose. The taste was very different than the aromatics. More leather, Bing cherry, cedar and a touch of rhubarb. A very "dusty" Pinot. — 9 years ago
All the things I love about Central Coast pinots- delicateness and zestiness. — 10 years ago
Luscious, beautiful fruit. Not them and steely like many Pinots. Love it. — 10 years ago
Pinot with a punch. In my view one of the finest California Pinots by far. — 10 years ago
Nose of tart cherry, wet wood, and hint of strawberry. Great balance on the palate with some acidity and light tannins. Finish lingers nicely with some noticeable smokiness. Failla's single vineyard pinots are even stronger, but this is great value! — 11 years ago
Top 3 pinots in the US — 12 years ago

Dig it. All the trademark Buccella traits like plush candied oak with a Rhone skeleton of wild game and pepper. Cool neon purple too. Looks like they got a new winemaker in -15? Fingers crossed. — 9 years ago
