After our little vacation (what a pleasure and luxury after the year we’ve all had) it’s back to home cooking and drinking, and this bottle was sitting aside in the cellar because I was too lazy to reshelve it after pulling it out a few weeks ago and not getting around to drinking it. It smells of dusty dried sage and other herbs with a touch of cedar and red fruits beneath. Exceedingly silky, with dashi and miso notes mixing with raspberry and dried herbs that have this lovely aromatic sweetness that lingers with the herbs in the finish. Very pretty.

Very nice. Restrained, which in this case is a nice thing.

Dark, rich fruit profile sweeps out of the glass after first hour; complete, beautiful Pinot. Hold if you have any for another couple of years though drinking well now

Just a little bit crazy that this is their entry level bottle. Big red cherries and raspberries initially on the nose but that’s just the beginning. Mushrooms, musty barnyard, spice, mild tobacco, and vanilla come to play. It’s really hard to get past this incredible nose. Medium bodied but full of power and finesse, this is a most interesting Pinot. Incredible depth of fruit and complexity here. On the palate there’s generous amounts of orange peel, sweet berries, and funk. Pomegranates and spice on the medium long finish. An expertly crafted wine. It’s hard to say you should hold on to this for a while longer when it’s so damn good.

I'm not much of a Pinot fan, but it's hard not to really like this wine. It's got juicy red fruits, good acidity, and a price that's easy on the wine budget.
