Great wine. Will improve but not a bad time to open. Aromatics started with a distinctive smoky or reductive note that I couldn’t quite place but dissipated and morphed. Good structure. — 2 months ago
Yellow with aromas of dandelion, pear, steely minerality, and candied apple. Nice acidity, long finish, and luscious. Flavors of candied apple and grassy notes. Wonderful! — 2 months ago

30 years. Fresh and bright out of the gate. Some cherry, quite acidic. Chalky. So for a good hour I was thinking man - great vintage, site and wine maker but was not really convinced. 12 hours later the wine is still in the same spot now with some oxygen. Basically I expect old burghs to be unique - rare one offs with secondary flavor profiles (what was that?) - this was not it. Classic may be - but not more. I would argue drink this up more years will not make a difference. — 2 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2010 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru “Clavoillon” pours a straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with powerful notes of green apple, tropical fruit, stone fruit, lemon meringue, white flowers, nuts and warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and slightly savory. Again, we were spared from premox; hallelujah! When Leflaive hits, it’s amongst the best in Burgundy. Drink now through 2035. — 2 months ago
