Started with a harsh aftertaste when popped.
24 and 48 hours later, it drank like a dream. — 7 days ago
Not the best methode champenoise i have ever had, but it has a great story. The winery was begun by Stalin who worried he couldn’t get his beloved Champagne so started a local version - Sovietskoye Shampanskoye - in wineries around Bakhmut in what is now Ukraine. This wine was made by brave Ukrainians and smuggled out as the Russians attacked Bakhmut. So it’s gotta be a 10/10 from me! — 6 months ago

Winner of the 2026 Judgement of Paris and a terrific American Chardonnay, indeed. Not very buttery or oaky, very well balanced. And from OR not CA. Is OR the new CA? Maybe so! — 3 days ago
