Medium deep garnet, ruby core with medium light garnet rim . This is quite meaty and deep on the nose , with earthy dark cherry , porcini , sweet blackberry and spiced sous bois . On the palate this is quite severe and serious , darker fruits , ripe blackberry , cherry and hint of blackcurrant, herbal hints. Quite gritty , slightly drying tannins , fresh acidity . Earthy , dusty dark cherry edged finish , ok medium length. Quite ambitious for a village and arguably not ready yet , tannins need a little more time to integrate. From now and over the next 5 years, if not longer . — a year ago

A charming left bank blend with a high percentage of CF for 15’. Blueberry, cassis, espresso, dried herbs, and lavender. Hint of crushed rocks too. Medium to full body. A harmonious palate with round gentle acidity, lush texture, and grainy yet polished firm elegant tannins. Lingering lightly candied finish.
Finesse and classy, yet so approachable. — 6 years ago
Can’t get stop going after ‘15 Burgundy. Here, from one of region’s elite and from the fabulous Combe aux Moines vineyard, deeply flavored and beautifully perfumed, ripe black cherries, red raspberry, exotic spices and damp earth. The texture is luxurious and supple and the finish is long and seductive. 🔥 — 8 years ago

Its just a great Wine. I'm not a big sauv blanc fan (pairings not withstanding) but this is just good. Well balanced, mineraly, veggies, herbs on the nose it's awesome. — 11 years ago

Layers of love. Raspberry, dark cherry, currant, mild notes of clove and leather. Nuances of strawberry, continue through the palate and the finish is silky and lengthly. — 13 years ago
Drank without decanting. Light on the nose and a smooth sweet taste on the tongue. Fruit flavors and not intense at all. Great wine and well named! Day 2: sweet fruity smell with more of an alcohol scent. As I taste it, I still taste fruit but it is a bit more acidic. Still good overall but not the same as day 1. — 10 months ago
Still showing a lot of tannic and acidic structure, but enough fruit to keep it in check once it had a few hours of air, youthful still, and brawny. — 2 years ago
2018 Montalcino at Felice. Very good! — 5 years ago
Wow, what a beauty. Decanted for 2 hours, intensely aromatic, precise and energetic showing black raspberries, candied red cherries, flowers, hints of orange peel and packed with minerals. Finishes with exceptional length. The tannins are present and firm but the wine’s superb balance along with the combination of Fourrier’s style and the ripe vintage make it in a wonderful place now and with a certainty to improve with age. — 6 years ago

Total funk/garrigue on the nose, ripe strawberries, fennel seed, sweet cassis. Full bodied (for burg), screaming acidity, gorgeous mineral finish. — 14 years ago
Color is a little darker than I expected!
Smells like red apple and seaweed…and cured turkey.
Tastes very apple-y, but more of a sweet apple than a tart apple. Some cherry. A little toast and a slight champagne-y quality. Enjoyable. Good deal for the pricier liquor stores in the area I am visiting. 89. — a year ago

balance of fresh acidity with minerality. Apples, pears. Thank you Flori for having at the tasting! — 3 years ago
Nose - pineapple, lemon zest, vanilla. Taste - citrus fruit and great vanilla flavor, little bit of caramel. Full bodied, with a good balance. Really good! — 6 years ago

Loved this in a magnum. Tart cherry, earth, and red fruit galore. This is everything Pinot should be. Damn near perfection — 10 months ago
