Domaine Jean-Louis Chave

L'Hermitage Syrah 2016

A treat as I haven’t had a chave in a long time. A little young at this point but worth opening if you enjoy more fruit. Super elegant and relatively light in texture. — 14 days ago

Jean-Luc Colombo

Cape Bleue Rosé Blend

Loved the strawberry scent but not a sweet wine. Can taste the smoothness of the Syrah grapes — 2 days ago

Chateau St. Jean

Cinq Cépages Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon 1995

1995 vintage. Decanted and tasted after two hours. Used a Durand and cork in really good shape. Mix of chunky and powdery sed. Light-medium body. Shed nearly the entirety of the cloaked and oaked juice. Earth. Dust. Minerals. A harmonious leanness to the entire adventure. Can easily hold in this place for a half-decade. 5.24.24. — 16 days ago

Jean-Marc Burgaud

Côte du Py Morgon Gamay 2012

17+ another proof that Gamay can be very serious indeed. Remarkable nose, complex and expressive. Great fruit, of course, M+ length. Nice on back palate. Finish good, not exceptional. — 4 days ago
