Inky purple with aromas of blackberry jam, plum, chocolate, violets, and menthol. Juicy dark fruit predominant on the palate with soft tannins, 14.5% alcohol, and a long, minty finish. Drinking a bit like a California Syrah or Aussie Shiraz at this point. — 6 years ago
Floral, Honeysuckle, grassy hay note, fruit forest, spicy, balanced sweet and acidic, would be great with curry or spicy savoury Mexican style, — 7 years ago
Cherry, berry nose. Blueberry & blackberry jam taste. Slight sweet. Long tannin fruit finish. Needs a few hours to breathe, slight alcohol burn even after many hours. — 7 years ago
Blackberry, Strawberry Jam and maple syrup. Really enjoyed it. — 7 years ago

Dark red, nose of cassis, BlackBerry & raspberry jam, hint of eucalyptus; black fruits, plums and cassis on palate, hint of licorice/iodine in the finish, les fruity now than in youth, drink up. — 9 years ago

Earthy blackberry & strawberry jam. Delicious. — 6 years ago
This is a solid wine...the kind I would want to always have on hand for when friends come over and we are looking for a casual yet delicious selection. Nice leather, spice, black soil, and dark fruits on the nose. On the palate there is blackberry cobbler, blackberry jam, plums, and baking spices. — 7 years ago
Raspberry jam nose, some musky funk. Mouth is the same, with some herbal kick and a slightly powdery, ground stone mouthfeel. — 7 years ago
Black fruit, jammy, savory. M tannin, body and intensity. On the palate dark fruit, chocolate, strawberry. Finish is short. — 8 years ago
Smoky nose. Candi flavor, strong vanilla, jam, oak... Pretty good! — 9 years ago

Very Jammy hahaha I liked this wine. Very tasty. — 6 years ago
Super wet and fruit forward, jammy, boysenberry, smells of hibiscus and cinnamon ginger cookies (slightly), slight sweet tobacco, lots of body and subtle jam, not too structured, fair intricate with the jam highlight, nice sort of see through color — 6 years ago
2015. Nose: leather, black cherry. Taste: delicious, light, slightly funky, earthy, almost effervescent with a little boysenberry jam. — 6 years ago
Gorgeous aromas of black currant, blackberry jam, spice and baked/stewed dark fruit. Full bodied, luscious and a medium+ finish. The 15.5% alcohol is barely noticeable. — 7 years ago
Fruit forward...notes of black cherry jam, red currant and a touch of earth — 7 years ago
Pleasant floral aroma, tastes like tannic berry jam. I love the label art! — 7 years ago
Wow, Wow, Wow! I can picture the cherry pie I had yesterday as I smell this wine in my glass. I almost feel like I need a fork! Great aromas of cherry pie and spice on the nose followed by really great tastes of dark fruit, mocha and grape jam. Tannins are very apparent but not overpowering. We are drinking this in lieu of desert tonight. — 8 years ago
A wine that is always in my arsenal... Love, love, love this Garnacha! Sensual. Creamy. Smooth. Velvet. Limestone. Blackberry jam. — 9 years ago

Maybe one of the best young Lytton Springs I’ve had. Wonderful and mouth-filling fruit, just enough sinew, spiced, great perfume, balanced oak (albeit young still), fresh acid and earthy charm. Balanced and should stay that way for some time, would love to see at the 10-15 year mark. Ripe black raspberry, wild blackberry jam, yellow peach yogurt, vanilla, dried meat, flowers, cloves, mint and clay. Nice length. A touch wound up but plenty of generosity to drink now. — 5 years ago
