2016 vintage. Excellent fill and cork. Decanted with zero sed. Light/light-medium body. Tasted 45 minutes and 1.5 hours post-decant. All about the back-end white pepper/white sage/subtle clove spice rack finish. Excellent, lingering finish tickling different parts of the palate. More of a delicate Musigny. 08.01.25. — 5 months ago

2014. Not the most expressive of Puffeney I've enjoyed. — 8 years ago
Previous bottle tasted a year ago in September 2024. Mid lemon in colour. Aromatics of struck match, white flowers, lemon and sea spray. Hasn’t got the delicious ripe fruit I am used to with Australian Chardonnay but it does have its charm and attraction in a more mineral restrained style. — 4 months ago
Oiliness, wool, lemon oil.
Citruss fruits (lemon), stonefruit (white peaches), white flowers, dandelions, viscous and textured like lemon oil. Waxy.
A bit of honeycomb and then a slight bitterness of almost like biting into an herb or like dried sea buckthorn, even.
Interesting and memorable. — 6 months ago

Sometimes I just open a quality bottle for no real occasion, and today is one of those days. The nose and opening palette is pretty standard for white burg - lemon, green apple, saline minerals. But what sets this apart is the incredible finish - ethereal complexity of dried apple, apricot, almond, subtle oak, bitters, lemon zest and delicate citrus. Tame acidity that opens up over time . Feels very light (despite 13.5% abv), refined and elegant. Deserves to be served on its own, maybe with some herbed and salted nuts. But I’m having it with Goodles parm mac n cheese and Zapp’s Voodoo chips. It’s divine :) — 9 months ago
Interesting but a little too funky for me. Not that I didn’t finish my glass (or two)... — 7 years ago
More voluptuous than typical for variety — 13 years ago
See previous Delectable notes. Mid lemon in colour - brilliant clarity. On the nose and palate notes of ripe grapefruit, fresh herbs, wet stone and minerals. Medium plus acidity. The following night it still retains the tension and power when initially tasted. — 4 months ago

Half-price wine night! Red wine notes of raspberry toast and some tannin surprise the clinical taster. Bubbles take a back seat to intense flavors. — 3 months ago
