One of the best wines I have had. Really enjoy. — 3 years ago
Founded in 1932 by Isaac Muga Martínez, now run by children Manuel, Isabel & Isaac Muga Caño. Deep Ruby, aromas of sweet red and black fruits with pepper spice, unmistakable Muga. 4 grape blend from the Haro district (70% Tempranillo, rest Garnacha, Mazuelo & Graciano), palate shows cherry and currant flavors with espresso, vanilla & toasty oak tones. Soft full tannins, lively acidity on a medium+ finish ending with an earthy mineral character. Nice value! Great vintage! — 4 years ago
Dry but pleasant. Had with Greek tapas in DC with Sarah and Mao. — 5 years ago
Good call@Isaac Pirolo,
I don’t venture into the 80’s to often, but for $75.00 it was worth a try plus it gave me an excuse to use the Durand again even though it really didn’t need it.
Reminds me of this one night in Bangkok, — 5 years ago

Waited as long as I could to pop one of these - and wow! Fantastic and thanks @Isaac Pirolo for introducing us to Theorem! — 5 years ago
Day 4 in Napa in the books! Running a day behind on notes...Napa time runs slow AND fast!
Our first tasting of the day was with @Isaac Pirolo of Theorem. The property is breathtaking. The design of the winery, tasting area, etc were just beautiful. When you are greeted at the front, you are handed a glass of bubbles...nice touch! This was very lemon driven, with limestone, chalk and Granny Smith Apple crisp. — 5 years ago
Nicely made and exuding character. Nose has bright, deep plummy fruit, along with nice, fragrant spice and a wisp of smoke. Mouthfilling, pure fruit on the palate, with a light touch, finish turns savory and shows lots of stony minerality. Nice acids and a bit of soft, chalky tannin comes out at the end. Terrific value. — 2 years ago

Really nice light Pinot noir- thanks Isaac! — 4 years ago
Nice. Many others will advertise a finish in sherry/port/etc., but you can’t tell. This is clearly finished in port barrels. Very nice. With JR. — 5 years ago
Founded in 1932 by Isaac Muga Martínez, on his death children Manuel, Isabel and Isaac Muga Caño took over. Dark Ruby with aromas of ripe fruit, smoke & spice, A blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha, Mazuelo, & Graciano from this top Haro producer. On the palate, ripe fruit, cherry & blackberry, firm dry tannins, & smoky oak. Aged 30 mos in French & American oak + 18 months in the bottle before release. On the finish a touch of vanilla with a lingering ending. Will continue to improve! Nice! Small production. — 6 years ago
