Very fruit forward, red berries, balanced tannins, subtle stones and graphite. 3 hours in - a little bit of raisin. — 4 months ago
The 2016 Brunello di Montalcino Rennina is captivating as balsam herbs, wilted violets, and stone dust smolder up, slowly giving way to a core of crushed blackberry. This is pure class, silky and elegant yet racy. Brisk acidity and masses of mineral-tinged dark red fruits saturate the palate, which is lifted by a orange hint toward the close as salty minerals penetrate. Like liquid stone, the 2016 remains youthfully structured, with a wall of fine tannins that grips the senses and a coating of primary concentration that promises balance for a long life. This is an absolutely stunning vintage for Rennina. (Eric Guido, Vinous, December 2023)

Wine is bright red, on nose its red fruits, earthy, oak, dry tobacco, floral. On palate, wine is plum, berries, oakiness. Acidity is medium plus, tannic, its shows strong charachter or nebbiolo and merlot. Firm and elegant structure. Enjoy 2029+. Cheers! — 3 months ago
Light bodied and acidic. Bit of a bite. Some good red fruits coming through. Nice aperitif. — 5 months ago

100% Nerello Mascalese. Inky ruby color. Lovely nose of cherry/strawberry, rose petals, fresh herbs and volcanic ash. Vibrant cherry and raspberry fruit flavors with hints of minerals and earth with a nice smokey finish. Fine tannins (but a little tight) and lovely structure and freshness. Nice. Sunday evening meal with my wife. I have the 2016 being better than this in my memory. Classic tuscan flavour profile but missing a bit of oomph to take it to the next level. Still extremely quaffable.

2016 vintage. This ain't Welcome to Plushytown. Decanted and crushed...er...enjoyed over the course of 30 mins. Obviously 25 years too early. Pretty complex nose already. Medium body. Entry and exit palate very lean and mean but middle palate is where the richness and fruit are bottled up. Will be interesting to see how that middle palate experience expands in coming years. Tremendous concentration. This wine is generally worth the commotion, pursuit and effort. 9.7.23. — 9 months ago
