Franz Gojer

Glögglhof Südtirol Karneid Kerner 2022

I’m biased when it comes to Gojer, and Alto Adige in general. Layered, complex, and powerful. Pear, quince, kiwi, passionfruit, and nectarine. Vibrant, crisp, and mineral but with a long creamy finish. Medium bodied at 13.5% abv. Pair with Thai snapper or tofu in a coconut sauce. — 2 months ago

Manna Schweizer Riesling Blend 2018

Perhaps more interesting than good - blend of Riesling, Chardonnay, gewurz, kerner, sauv blanc. Balanced, with good florals, nice fruit and body. Acid a bit lacking, and not quite harmonious. — 5 months ago

A very nice, “normal” Auslese at 22 years with 10 more possible. Clean fruit, medium-bodied, and not overly sweet. — 7 months ago

Ponzichter Pinot Noir Zweigelt

Dope red, with a chill on it was very refreshing, fruity, light bodied. Type of red I love, didn’t taste super dark or overly earthy. Easy to drink, felt simple enough to enjoy w/o knowing much about wine’s. — 5 months ago

Steinporz Smaragd Weissburgunder 2020

Cantaloupe! Acid is shy, but it works for the texture here. Don’t let it get too warm. — 8 months ago
