Oh yeah. Nice one that’s almost twenty years old! All the aged Chablis tend not to smack you in the face as when young. — a month ago
Saint-Bris “Chenevières” Sauvignon Blanc 2022
Chablis, Burgundy, France 🇫🇷
Reims, Champagne, France 🇫🇷
Overview
A vintage Champagne crafted from 50% Pinot Noir & Pinot Meunier and 50% Chardonnay, showing the elegance and character of the superb 2018 harvest in Reims. A balanced Brut at 10 g/L dosage, it reflects both richness and freshness, with solid aging potential.
Aromas & Flavors
On the nose, vibrant lemon zest, crisp apple, and bergamot with green tea accents. With aeration, deeper notes of peony, cherry, biscuit, redcurrant, and honey unfold. The palate is expressive, velvety, and savory, with ripe fruit, fine bubbles, and layered complexity.
Mouthfeel
Rounded yet energetic, with vinous character and supple mousse. Richness from dosage is perfectly balanced by tension and freshness on the finish. Built to age, but already seductive now.
Winemaking Notes
Produced only in high-quality vintages, with a focus on extended lees aging. The 2018 vintage in Champagne was marked by ideal conditions—hot, dry summer with ripe grapes, yielding wines of both concentration and precision.
Food Pairing
A gourmet’s Champagne: pairs beautifully with sweet & sour canapés, exotic lightly spiced cuisine (roast hake with turmeric sauce, poultry kebabs), and can even stand up to richer flavors like black pudding with pineapple.
Verdict
A vintage Champagne of elegance and personality—expressive, velvety, and complex. A connoisseur’s favorite, with years of life ahead but irresistible today. 🥂✨ — 18 days ago

This was a hedonistic delight! Bursting with fruit, fresh and lovely. No need to overthink this one, just enjoy! — 3 days ago
2016 vintage. Excellent fill and cork. Decanted with zero sed. Light/light-medium body. Tasted 45 minutes and 1.5 hours post-decant. All about the back-end white pepper/white sage/subtle clove spice rack finish. Excellent, lingering finish tickling different parts of the palate. More of a delicate Musigny. 08.01.25. — a month ago

Crunchy, crispy, austere and racy. Wet rocks. Needed some oysters or something else creepy crawly and briny from the sea to accompany this. — 16 days ago
