My first carricante. Floral citrus nose, pale yellow, complex minerality with a perfect sour/sweet finish. Thanks, Costco. This is a top-drawer white. — 5 months ago
This wine is medium-dark ruby in the glass. I found the nose to be subdued, but notes of ripe cherries and redcurrant berries came through. I’d like to say that I noticed the effect of the chestnut barrels used, but they were half as large as the oak casks. My olfactory sense isn’t all that sharp, anyway. The palate is medium weight and a bit tart, showing raspberry and currant flavors. The tannins are medium firm and the acidity is bright. The medium finish carries tart fruit after the sip. — 5 months ago
Etna Rosso a nerello mascalese + cappuccio blend. Tannins holding their grip on the fruits, you do get those hints of berry extracts but the ashy rocky terroir is definitely dominating the profile. — 6 years ago
White cherry on the nose, apricot skin, grapefruit pith, lots of minerality and savory notes on the palette, acidic and tannic but we'll balanced - lots of character — 4 years ago
Soft nose, ultra light on the mouth with bursts of fruit and light citrus — 4 years ago

If you find the Nero Davola too heavy, this one is for you. A Sicilian red that has the earthy qualities that Etna provides, but so much lighter than other reds from the region. This has hints of nutmeg and cinnamon. Very light cherry on the finish. Good warm weather trattoria wine. — 4 years ago

Served blind . Arrogantly said after a quick smell & taste, Burgundy from 2018 , high quality village wine. WRONG! Beautiful flavors of cherry, earth and mineral. Pepper red fruits, herbs and mouthwatering acid attacked my palate. Still has structure to endure for years. — 4 months ago
