Would be a solid blind, reads entry Rhone. Restrained concentration. Wild raspberry and black pepper. Grenache purity on the palate. Grenache often reads as “Zinfandel light” to me in terms of fruit forward/jamminess/abv. Syrah also stands its ground here. Slick packaging. — 6 months ago
2021 vintage was mildly tannic w/ a hot nose, good mouthfeel w/ blackberry/cherry flavors that quickly fade. Very nice! — 8 months ago
Fine drinking 2019 Mandurian primitivo. Full bodied, robust fruit, low tanin, nice length. Thoroughly enjoyable! — 2 months ago
On the nose, this is cherry and blueberry... On the palate the cherry is concentrated... The blueberry is also there... Savory, fatty... The tanning here is medium and chewy... The bright, fruity finish is just medium but the tannin lingers long... I quite like this tannin effect here. I paired this with crackers and an aged Gouda, but really I think this could have paired with a variety of foods. Decent acidity to hold its own against a variety of foods as long as they're kept simple. — 3 months ago
Delicious! Gentle creaminess, acidic at first then melts down. — 4 months ago

A fantastic ‘11! No doubt in a leaner style but there’s clear Fourrier signature and it’s so fresh, with absolutely zero greenness, just beautiful floral perfume and bright red cherry fruit that waft from the glass. The palate gains notably in weight and intensity and its pure, focused and saline-mineral inflicted finishes keeps on lingering. Great showing for a vintage I generally avoid in reds. — 7 months ago
Mushrooms and dried earth on the nose. Ripe red fruits, cherries and currants with hints of plum and desiccated violets. Wonderful acidity and long finish. — 2 months ago

The 2021 Barbera d'Alba Tre Vigne is a fabulous, explosive wine. Sumptuous dark cherry, ripe plum, mocha, licorice and new leather are all dialed up to the maximum. This racy, deep Barbera is tremendous. For its quality-to-price ratio, the Alba Tre Vigne might be the wine of the year at Vietti. $25.00 (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, February 2024) — 4 months ago
