Thanks to global warming 👍🏼
K&L notes as follows
We finally got our hands on some of Wiston’s remarkable Blanc de Blancs. This 100% Chardonnay bottling is pressed in their traditional wooden Coquard basket press, fermented and rested in neutral French oak for a year, before aging more than two years on the lees in bottle. Reserve wines range back to 2008, with the 2018 harvest making up most of this iteration. Look for aromas of white flowers, baked apple, crushed quince, pie crust, stony minerals, chalk, saline, and oyster shell notes complete this magical wine. More volume and golden ripe fruit here versus the racier other NV wines. Beautiful stuff! Limited quantity.

Slight forest flavor. Plum, various berry and cherry. Deep, not so simple juicy but. Enjoyable. For pastime. 2018 @1350, domaine -, 220709-220805 — 3 years ago
This is a great burgundy — pure flavor, clear, bright red fruit, medium acid, low tannins. At $75, it’s a good value, although I may still prefer the Domaine Coquard at $55 even more. — 9 months ago
A nice Gamay that pairs well with chili. Consistent with earlier vintage previously posted. November 2022. — 3 years ago
Coloring within the lines. — 3 years ago
As someone else noted, a rare bottle of a super rare red grape from Burgundy called “Cesar” (10 hectares in the world) — very dark color, rich, dark fruits, some noticeable structure, this needs 3-5 years aging to settle down, a great “stump your wine friends” wine!! — 2 years ago
Concentrated fruitiness. Nice winery! 2019 @1120, domaine -, 221019-2210— — 3 years ago

A substantial Gamay. Stewed plum colour with a nose of violets, potting soil and cherry nibs. Dry palate, silky mouth feel with hints of prunes, sour cherry and bell pepper and cedar. Very drinkable. — 2 months ago
