Excellent, almost basque cider like gentle tart. Straw yellow haze, probably some skin contact. — 6 years ago

Cedar, peat, cranberry, cured ham. Really balanced and beautiful. — 8 years ago
Drank 2/19/18. Paired with roasted chicken.
The nose of sweet stewed plums and red berries is quite expressive. Still present, but mild, well integrated tannins lend structure to cassis and earth flavors. Medium finish. This could go a few more years, but is in a sweet spot now. I dont think it will improve further, so drink now. Fully mature.

Thanks @JT for a great bottle. — 8 years ago
From even north of Lessona. Cherry, raspberry, blackberry and fresh plum. White pepper, red liquorice, Dried fennel, almond paste and orange rind. Fine, gentle emery board like tannins with perky acidity. Really approachable now. 65% neb, 20% croatina and 15% vespolina. — 9 years ago

Lots of salinity and menthol in the nose. Super interesting. — 10 years ago
Very tannic just after opening but a short decant helped a lot to get this guy going. Nice pairing with Parmigiana alla Melanzane. — 11 years ago

This stuff is so delicious. My head is pounding this morning because I also drank other natty wines, cloudy beers, and crappy beers; but this stuff was the winner of birthday celebration in the park! — 6 years ago
Crackers, brioche with jam on nose. Nice lively body with some tartness and decent concentration. Super long leesy finish. clam broth and salt. — 7 years ago
#vinitaly2019 — 7 years ago
Aromatic, floral / pollen, beeswax / peach, apricot / ten days on the skins / old oak / channelling Alsace — 8 years ago
High score for enjoyability not complexity. Grainy fine tannins, real verve & energy, cassis/currants. Johannes find. — 9 years ago
Celebrating Jaziel's Birthday with a Birth Year wine! Happy Birthday Love! 😘❤ This wine is INCREDIBLE! — 9 years ago
Perfect with my garganelli--structured, rustic nose with a palate to match; barely overripe red fruits, earth, mushroom (but not too funky). May not be quaffable. It opens up. — 10 years ago
Just at the beginning of its drinking window, but still enjoyable with some air. — 11 years ago
