Always such a singular wine. It has the weight and richness of a white Rhône, with the acid and mineral tension of a great white burg. I like to say “Chaveneau.” It’s stunningly aromatic with layered depth and complexity, wafting from the glass with ripe tropical fruit, hazelnut, wildflower honey and pastry cream. The palate is rich and intense, but retains focus and balance along with killer volume, an elegant texture and excellent length. I continue to prefer GDP blanc to the rouge. — 8 months ago
Interesting CDP that is 100% Grenache. Bright black cherry/plum/berry fruit aromas and flavors with touches of minerals, earth and saline. Bold structure but bright and lively. Extremely fruit forward. Great balance of tannin and acidity. Pleasant, even in its youthful state. Gift from Kase! — 2 years ago
