Richebourg Pinot Noir 2019

Switched to Richbourg as we have over consumed Vosne Romanee and we needed a different style of Burgundy to go with our Pigeon!

Usual notes of red fruits (strawberry) to begin and a beautiful fruit concentration with soft, smooth texture throughout the 2 hours we managed to hold off on chugging it!

Great lineup & dinner with Louis Michel. He showcased his amazing wines in what he termed were difficult vintages. — 8 months ago

Château Belair-Monange

St. Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2018

Huge dark fruit and still primary at this time. The oak is hardly noticeable given its age and the tannins are soft. This can age based on the amount of fruit, I just wonder how it will hold up given how soft the tannins are. Definitely drinkable now. — 8 months ago

Vieilles Vignes Moulin-à-Vent Gamay 2010

Poured into a decanter about an hour prior to service; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2010 pours a hazy garnet/purple color with a translucent core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of tart, ripe and desiccated fruits: blackberries, black licorice, horse blanket, some animale, mushrooms, forest floor, rocky earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. It has been eight years since I last enjoyed this vintage of the VV and it continues to age with a lot of grace. Drink now through 2030+. — 3 months ago
