Croix De St Sylvestre

Château La Croix Montlabert

Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 2021

It is time for some Merlot on this #MerlotThursday. Let's bring Merlot back!

Pretty color of ruby with a wide reddish rim.

Fruity nose with red and black fruits, light wood, tobacco and chocolate notes.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with blueberries, black plums, currants, light wood, spices, coffee and peppercorn.

Medium plus in length on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a very tasty second wine from this Grand Cru Estate in Saint Emilion. Soft and elegant.

Balanced and fruit forward with nice complexity.

Drinking at its peak now, and will continue to drink nicely in the next few years.

Easy drinking and good by itself or with food. A nice sipping wine.

A blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. Aged for 15 months in used French oak barrels.

13% alcohol by volume.

90 points.

$30.

Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Complex and interesting. Fruit forward and elegant.

Your camera must be playing a trick because it doesn't look ruby in the glass 😅✌️

Château La Croix St. Georges

Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 2021

This is young...very young. However! This is already very impressive. Somewhat of a "if you know, you know" wine that has bags of potential. Give this 10 years and it will go up against almost any wine. Did an aged blind tasting against Dominus a few years ago and this smashed. Good one to have in your cellar! — 2 months ago

Château La Croix St. Estèphe

Saint-Estèphe Red Bordeaux Blend 2018

2018 vintage. Light-medium body with plenty of punch. Lean but not completely mean with certain, here and there, charms. Predestined as a "food wine" unless you prefer discipline as a whole. The nice price. 01.22.25. — 7 months ago
