Pale golden in colour.
Shy nose, bright acidity and a saline, stony minerality on the palate.
Lemon juice, starfruit, some green herbs, seabreeze, wet pebbles. Actually, this shows very young, nervous and tight and IMHO it could use a tad more charm, rondeur, richesse. Maybe some extra cellartime will do the trick..? — 7 years ago
This reliable wine is tasty vintage after vintage. The 2016 is pale gold and fresh-smelling. Green Apple and lemon aromas are braced by a strident minerality. Those minerals really come forward on the palate, as do the apple and citrus flavors. The wine is ever so slightly frizzante in the glass, and the acidity rips across the taste buds. — 9 years ago

There is a reason this wine is sold out! I look for it every chance I get, and when I do find it, I never leave with less than three bottles!! — 11 years ago
It's really enjoyable and smooth. Reminiscent of a Bordeaux Blanc. The oak is very subtle and adds creaminess to the body. I know it has nothing to do with the taste, but the bottle is super cool and super elegant. — 11 years ago
cool red from Spain--pretty sure I never had a red from this region before. — 12 years ago
This yellow-gold wine has aromas that are more herbal than floral, with savory dill bolstering the citrus and stone fruit. The palate carries much citrus along with savory balsamic notes. Acidity is great, and makes for a lively pairing with a variety of salads and seafood. — 7 years ago

Tasty cheap white from Trader Joe's — 11 years ago
Wow! Best Albariño I've ever had. High acid and bone dry. I feel like I just bit into fresh limestone. I always have the best food and wine pairings at Zuzu/La Taberna in Napa. Such a good food wine. — 11 years ago

Such a great albariño from DO Rias Baixas. Crispy, explossive, creamy... A lot peach and milky notes. One of my favorites from this appelation! — 12 years ago
Slightly sweet went well with chicken tender salads on 7.04.19. 2016 vintage if that really matters here.... — 7 years ago
A gorgeous burnt yellow color. Had this with seared scallops and a cold veggie pasta salad. — 7 years ago

👃🏻 buena potencia, pera blanca, cítrico pomelo, notas glicéricas notas florales 👄 entrada potente, vibrante, con buena tensión y acidez, buen final con notas amargas. — 9 years ago
I had this last month but failed to review it until now. I am new to Albariños so I do not know how to compare it to others but it has a nice floral and peach aromas. Upon drinking it the acid was in check and there was a soft note of peaches and subtle orange favors. Not sure if this is typical but this was very enjoyable on a warm summer night. #albariño #spain #granbazán — 11 years ago

Nectarines, white peach. Medium bodied. Saline & lemon zest finish. A bit sweet, which was a detractor, however might do really well with spicy fare. — 7 years ago
